Alison Child lives in Park City, Utah and has been fitting saddles for Performance Saddlery since 2006. She started riding later in life, after several injuries terminated her lengthy volleyball career.
After only a few years as a dressage rider, Alison became a USDF “L” graduate (with distinction), and has earned both her bronze and silver medals on her Hanoverian, Shaka Zulu. A big supporter of the Utah dressage community, Alison and her longtime coach, Margo Gogan, also host rated shows and are currently working to bring an ABIG Regional Championship to Utah. Alison also trains quarterly with Trilogy sponsored rider Jeremy Steinberg and longtime friend and “S” judge from California, Melissa Creswick. Her favorite horse related moments, besides going down centerline of course, are seeing the look on people’s faces when they ride in their first Trilogy saddle.
As a 30-year resident of Park City, Alison is very active in the community and serves on a variety of non-profit boards. A big outdoor enthusiast, she loves to hike, fly fish, mountain bike and ski with her husband of 27 years, Paul Kirwin. They have two dogs, two horses and many visiting friends and relatives
