My name is Theresa Keyes and I live on farm in Southern Maryland, where I have lived my entire life. I've been married to my husband Steve for over 30 years, and we have three beautiful daughters, two wonderful son-in-laws and the most adorable grandson in the world.

I was a typical horse crazy child. I would often get caught in school drawing pictures of horses instead of math or science work (can you blame me?) I remember begging my parents for a horse, and the wonderful day they finally gave in and bought me one. Laredo was a draft cross, I think. But he was my best friend growing up, and to this day I have a soft spot for horses with huge feet, feathered legs, rather large barrels with a bit of lordosis (swayback). Although I must admit they are a challenge at saddle fitting!

I now have a wonderful horse named Ragazzo. My first year showing was 2009, and we almost have all of our scores needed for our bronze medal, which is our current goal.

I am very proud to say that I've been with Performance Saddlery for 15 years. Saddle fitting has been a very rewarding career, and Performance Saddlery has been a great company to represent. Trilogy saddles are by far the best on the market, and I feel very lucky to have so many wonderful, loyal clients, many who have become my friends.
